Dermalogica Climate Control Lip Treatment

Holy Grail Travel/Skincare Item
Purchased

Okay, I have no clue how I didn't know about this product sooner!  I have chronic dry lips and I'm always trying out new products to combat the problem.  This product is super-duper fabulous (nice terminology right lol).  It is specifically formulated for people who are in extreme weather conditions or varying climates.

When I take the long flight home from India to USA my lips take a beating in the airplane.  This product is going to be my seceret weapon:)  Now that the holiday season is here I think we're all going to be traveling and encountering some cold weather or temperature changes.  This will be a great item to have in your bag!  Bonus: Its small enough to fit in your pocket!

Dermalogica Website: A soothing balm formulated with exclusive Anti-Ozonate Complex to help damaged skin recover from environmental assaults while providing a barrier against future climatic assaults. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors.

Revlon Raspberry Pie ColorBurst Lip Butter

Shiny Berry Lips for Fall
*Purchased

Revlon lip butter in Raspberry Pie ($7.49 for 0.09 oz.) is a medium dark berry pink with loads of shine.  I would basically describe this as a tinted balm on steroids.  This stuff packs a punch.  Its super pigmented and the color pay off is better than any other tinted balm I've ever used.  When I tested this out, I was suffering from severe dry lips and I'm happy to say that this stuff is really moisturising.  I definitely saw my lips increase in volume due to the moisture from the lip butter.

I would still suggest exfoliating before wearing this and if you have mature lips I recommend using a lip liner to prevent feathering.  I have rather small lips and I did find it kind of tedious to apply because of the oval lipstick shape.  I guess I'm just one of those girls who likes the tradition pointed lipstick bullet.  This is definitely one of those lipsticks you need to apply with a mirror or else you could end up with a clown face.  Since this is a highly pigmented balm and it glides very easily on the lips, the wear time will be shorter.  Its not a long lasting lip color.   The end result is a very shiny lip so if your looking for matte berry stain, I would not suggest this particular product.  If glossy plumped up lips is your goal then this is your lipbutter:)

I was searching around in my makeup bag and I think I found a decent lip pencil match:  NYX Lipliner Pencil in 836 BLOOM.

Sally Hansen Full & Radiant Lip Definer

Plump Pucker :o) A Makeup Bag Must...

Sally Hansen Full & Radiant Lip Definer, 0.10oz

Sally Hansen's Full & Radiant Lip Definer (0.10oz) is a must in my makeup bag.  Its one of my favorite lip primers I use before applying lipstick.  This stuff makes your lips plump up and look oh so smooth.  It's got a soft pearlescent sheen to it that brightens and helps to create a youthful radiant glow to lips.

The scent is not super overwhelming which I love.  Some days I wake up and my lips look thin because they are dehydrated so I pop this baby on and wait about 10mins or do my foundation and by the time I'm done my lips are looking nice and fuller.  Oh and also...there's no stinging sensation which some lip plumpers tend to have:)

I highly recommend this product for women with mature lips because it also helps smooth lines and help with lip definition.  According to Sally Hansen it contains a collagen enhancing complex, soy proteins & vitamins A,C, E.

I love how it comes in a regular lipstick tube because you can put it on with such ease you don't even need a mirror and there's no mess on your fingers which can sometimes happen with other balms. Overall its a great item to have around in your makeup bag.
