YSL ROUGE VOLUPTÉ PERLE in Beige Caress #101

Beautiful Pink-Beige Shimmer

I love YSL Rouge Volupté  lipsticks! Well, let me rephrase that...I love the way YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks make my lips look:)  I was pretty impressed by my YSL Rouge Volupté #29 lipstick and its plumping capabilities (I did a review..click here YSL RV#29) so I decided to pick up another YSL RV.  YSL Beige Caress Perle Lipstick #101 is a gorgeous pink beige color with flecks of shimmer.  Its consistency is very similar to the non-shimmer YSL RV lipsticks and its just as soft and creamy.  It just melts onto the lips with such ease.  It also has the same luxurious packaging as the regular YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks and I'm such a sucker for the case!  It's so pretty...I can't help myself!!!

There are six different shades of YSL Perle lipsticks to choose from.  I was looking for something that I could use during day and also at night with a smokey eye.  If you check out my day light swatches you will definitely be able to see the flecks of gold shimmer. When applied onto the lips this lipstick gives a very pretty iridescent golden sheen.

The only thing that kind of bothered me was I could feel the glitter against my lips while applying the lipstick.  It wasn't a super-duper gritty sensation but it was enough for me to notice something was there on my lips.  Other thing which I noticed was that if you mess up or if the lipstick goes out of the lip boundary you will have flecks of shimmer left around your mouth!  You gotta be careful when applying this stuff.  With expensive lipsticks comes greater application responsibility?! ;o)

YSL Rouge Volupté Perle Lipstick in Beige Caress #101
Like the other YSL RV lipsticks this is definitely not a long lasting lipstick.  After eating or drinking you will have to reapply.  Which brings me to my second small complaint about this product.  After eating the lipstick goes and the glitter stays.  It kind of looks like you ate a glitter sandwich and the glitter crumbs are creeping around on your lips:)  It's not an insane amount but if you don't reapply the color people will probably mention that you have glitter on your lips.  Definitely not a lipstick you want to kiss somebody goodbye with.  *Hint, hint.  Wink, wink* for you readers with boyfriends/husbands.

JustFab Haul: VISIONARY & LAW

New Fall Handbags!

Hey guys, I got my first JustFab order in the mail today.  I decided to purchase Visionary in purple and Law in black.  I'm so excited because Visionary is a deep purple color perfect for fall and black is a color that never goes out of style.  I love how they both come with a long strap so you can convert them into shoulder bags or crossbody bags.  Visonary also comes in basic black and a trendy gray color!  I actually gifted my Mom the black and gray Visonary bags because there's no way I can afford a Hermès Birkin but I thought this would be a super classy alternative that is in my budget range;)  Here's a sneak peek...

Benefit Perk-Up Artist

Benefit's New Complexion Correction Kit!

Benefit Perk Up Artist

Back of Benefit Perk Up Artist
So I managed to get my hands on benefit's new custom complexion corrector kit called Perk Up Artist (3 x 0.05 oz, $30)I gotta admit I LOVE the packaging...its creepy but in a cute way (like that makes any sense!?? lol).  The douchey-looking dude sporting the handle bar mustache and aviators makes me laugh every time I pick the kit up.  I find it hilarious that he's holding a paint brush.  The hot pink hearts floating in the background add to the cute factor! Its oh so cheeky:)

Ok enough about the packaging!  The product itself is very useful and great for anyone with discoloration/pigmentation looking for an all in one kit that they can just throw in their makeup/travel bag.  The kit contains a trio of complexion correctors: Correct, Cover and Brighten.

Yellow (Correct): Hide redness and discoloration.
Beige (Cover): Hide imperfections, blemishes and dark circles.
Pink (Brighten): Turn tired eyes into bright open eyes.

The consistency is creamy and easy to mix if you want to make your own custom colors.  Tip: I would recommend powdering after to set the product and prevent creasing.  And also be careful with the pink corrector because a little goes a long way.  If you use too much of the pink it stands out...less is more.  For the first time ever I think I might actually use the brush that has come with this compact!!! (MIRACLE).  Its the perfect size for using underneath the eyes and in the inner corners.

I wore the correctors the other day and my friends all noticed that I was looking more fresh and well rested.  I even liked the way my eyes seemed brighter.  I would definetly recommend this to anyone who wants a correcting kit small enough to throw into their purse.

Fall Fashion

Some Of My Favorite Fall Flats

These are just some flats I pulled out today most of my shoes are back home in US. I absolutely loooooove fall fashion and bundling up for the cold. I know the yellow flats are a bit spring-ish but I just love them too much and I don't want to retire them to the closet!! I'm gonna rock them cause I'm currently in Mumbai, India and the coldest it'll probably get here is 78 degrees lol.

I'm guessing you noticed that Mango seems to be my favorite brand for flats. Actually the reasons why I buy them are (A) They were all bought from Mango stores here in India (B) I know the quality is good and they won't go wonky on me (C) I have wide feet and finding a pair of flats that are flattering is super hard so when I find a pair I buy it in different colors. Do you know of any flattering and comfortable flats for wide feet?! If so please suggest some cause I'm always on the look out:) Lotsa Luv!

The Balm Stainiac in Beauty Queen

Stop....You're Making Me Blush:)

theBalm Stainiac in Beauty Queen
I'll be honest, cheek tints/stains have always scared the heck out of me.  They look so unnatural in those plastic nail polish-lookin bottles.  Even the ones that come in solid form remind me of hardened jello lol.  I never understood how people can apply them without looking streaky OR as if they just finished a triathlon (tomato face!).

I've got oily sensitive skin so I tend to stay away from cream/liquid blushes because I find them to be too sticky on my cheeks or they just fade away.  When you have acne you don't feel like touching your cheeks or aggravating the skin anymore than you already have to.
TheBalm Stainiac in Beauty Queen

That being said, I am so glad that I finally (wo)maned up and tried TheBalm Stainiac because this stuff rocks.  It comes in a tube with a doe-foot applicator which makes application super easy and mess free.  No need to worry about it spilling in your purse.  In the tube it looks like jam, strawberry jam :) mmmm..yummy.  The consistency is a soft gel tint and it spreads very easily on the cheek if you use a light hand.  I love it because it doesn't irritate my skin, its not sticky and it gives the most beautiful and natural flushed look.  It does work well as a lip stain too but be careful because its kind of drying.

Swatch: Stainiac in Beauty Queen
Its great to use alone or you can layer it with another powder blush on top if you want a stronger look.  I keep it in my purse for when I need a bit of color and I love how the packaging is so dainty and convenient.

Sally Hansen Full & Radiant Lip Definer

Plump Pucker :o) A Makeup Bag Must...

Sally Hansen Full & Radiant Lip Definer, 0.10oz

Sally Hansen's Full & Radiant Lip Definer (0.10oz) is a must in my makeup bag.  Its one of my favorite lip primers I use before applying lipstick.  This stuff makes your lips plump up and look oh so smooth.  It's got a soft pearlescent sheen to it that brightens and helps to create a youthful radiant glow to lips.

The scent is not super overwhelming which I love.  Some days I wake up and my lips look thin because they are dehydrated so I pop this baby on and wait about 10mins or do my foundation and by the time I'm done my lips are looking nice and fuller.  Oh and also...there's no stinging sensation which some lip plumpers tend to have:)

I highly recommend this product for women with mature lips because it also helps smooth lines and help with lip definition.  According to Sally Hansen it contains a collagen enhancing complex, soy proteins & vitamins A,C, E.

I love how it comes in a regular lipstick tube because you can put it on with such ease you don't even need a mirror and there's no mess on your fingers which can sometimes happen with other balms. Overall its a great item to have around in your makeup bag.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea Eau de Toilette

My New Favorite Perfume!!

Fragrance Description:

Floral and fruity with citrusy topnotes.  The fragrance is heightened by green accents, while sweetened by touches of wild berries. In the very heart of Flora Nymphea, orange blossom and syringa have been paired and magnified by honey.

I am so exited to have found this perfume...like jump up and down exited!  I am super sensitive to perfume scents and most of the time I have to skip wearing one all together.  If I smell any perfume that is slightly strong my face starts burning up, I have difficulty breathing and then I get this massive headache.

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Flora Nymphea
Eau de Toilette

Sometimes a fragrance smells good in the bottle and I spray it on myself but an hour later that horrible headache appears again.  I'm just insanely sensitive to A LOT of fragrances.  Walking through the perfume department in the mall is like a war zone for me lol.  The sales people are always ready to attack!

Up until now the only perfume I could slightly tolerate was Chanel Gardenia.  It still remains one of my favorites but I have to use it sparingly.  The other fragrance I could actually use quite often was Fresh Lemon Sugar perfume.  I seem to do decently well with lemon scented things.  My only complaint is that both fragrances do not last through out the day.

That's why I'm so glad I found Guerlain's Flora Nymphea.  Its such a sweet & feminine fragrance.  Its a mix of orange blossom, honey, berries and delicate musk.  The scent is truly intoxicating!  Every time I smell it or put it on I feel beautiful and very girly.  Its great for daytime & heavy enough for evening. What impressed me the most is that it lasts all day on me! Woo-hoo.  The Guerlain glass bottle is so gorgeous and luxurious looking with its gold honeycomb design. I love looking at it on my dresser. It's elegant yet girly because the perfume itself is a pinkish peach shade and the cap has a little bee engraved on the top:)  I highly recommend this perfume and I will definitely purchase it again.

**Disclaimer:  I purchased this product with my own money and the opinions expressed regarding the product are purely my own.  That being said...It smells yummy! You shud try it:)
